The Achensee with its magnificent natural paradise in the heart of Tyrol offers everything a vacationer's heart could wish for. Surrounded by the Karwendel mountains, the Achensee is located north of Jenbach, 380 m above the Inntal valley Together with the Achental, it forms the boundary between the Karwendel mountains in the west and Brandenberger Alps in the east. As the largest lake, the Achensee is up to 133 m deep and has an excellent water quality (near drinking water) with up to ten meters visibility underwater. Fresh and lively, the Achensee has low water temperatures in summer with a maximum of 20 degrees and the optimal wind conditions for surfers and sailors.
